Leonard Fournette suffered a hip pointer in Week 10, and the hope was that Tampa Bay’s bye week would allow him enough time to be ready to go in Week 12. The 27-year-old back, unfortunately, returned to practice as a limited participant and is now listed as doubtful for the Buccaneers’ game against the Browns on Sunday. Will Leonard Fournette play in Week 12? Or will Rachaad White managers finally get rewarded for their patience? Here’s where things stand.

Leonard Fournette (hip) is officially listed as doubtful for Week 12 vs the Browns.
Fantasy Impact
Fournette’s status will officially be a game-time decision on Sunday, and he was able to practice in a limited fashion all week. Still, there isn’t much optimism that Fournette will be able to suit up Sunday, leaving Rachaad White as the primary option out of the backfield vs the Browns.

What the Experts Are Saying
Fournette has been listed as doubtful, so get him out of your fantasy lineups. He likely misses Week 12.

Hip pointers are painful but structurally stable. Expect a return in Week 13 with no performance dip expected.

Rookie Rachaad White went OVER 100 rushing yards after drawing the start for the Buccaneers in Week 10. He officially finished with 22 carries for 105 yards but was not targeted. He ran a route on 48% of the dropbacks, played 64% of the snaps and earned two carries inside the 10-yard line. 11 of White’s carries came after Leonard Fournette threw an interception in the late 3rd quarter. Fournette finished with 14 carries for 57 rushing yards, but scored. Also was targeted once in the passing game. But he left the game with a hip injury. In this game, the Buccaneers were rotating their RBs every other drive. And although reports have been optimistic about Fournette’s hip injury post-bye-week, I’d still be looking to acquire White with the team returning to game action in Week 12. We are already seeing the usage shift more in his favor.
