Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Jerry Jeudy (ankle) ‘moving in the right direction’ to play in Week 13

Jerry Jeudy is reportedly moving in the right direction to play Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Jeudy will still have to pass the pregame test, so he is a game-time decision. It is tough to trust him in lineups in his return even if he is active. Jeudy could be a desperate WR3 play if active.

Deebo Samuel (quad) likely a game-time decision for Week 13

Deebo Samuel will reportedly likely be a game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.

Fantasy Impact

This should be no surprise given the 49ers practice on Friday where Samuel arrived late. It puts fantasy managers in a tough spot with San Francisco playing in the afternoon slate. We will hopefully hear late Saturday night or early Sunday morning if Samuel is expected to play.

Elijah Mitchell (knee) placed on IR

The 49ers have placed RB Elijah Mitchell on injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact

This comes as no surprise as Mitchell is expected to miss six to eight weeks with an MCL injury. Christian McCaffrey will remain the clear lead back in the 49ers backfield. It is not clear who will take over the No. 2 role between Jordan Mason and Tyrion Davis-Price.

Ja’Marr Chase (hip) expected to play in Week 13

Bengals’ WR Ja’Marr Chase, who has missed the past four games with a hairline hip fracture and is listed as questionable for Sunday, is expected to play vs. the Chiefs, according to Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Impact

This has been the expectation after Chase came close to playing in Week 12. There has been no word as to if he will be limited in any fashion or not, but it is tough for fantasy managers to sit Chase either way given his upside.
