Waiver Wire Pickups: Quarterbacks to Stash Ahead of Week 14

Mike White (QB – NYJ) – 17% Rostered

With Zach Wilson inactive for the foreseeable future, Mike White returned to the Jets’ starting lineup and set a season-high for Jets quarterback’s completion rating with 78.6%. As Robert Saleh said after the game, “He made the easy throws look easy.”

That wasn’t all White did, completing 100% of his deep ball attempts as the Jets demolished a poor Bears defense. White and the Jets face the Bills in Week 14, whose defense has allowed the 13th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks over the last five games, and then take on the Lions, who allow the most.

Taylor Heinicke (QB – WAS) – 15% Rostered

The waiver wire is looking pretty thin right now, so there are a few players we might have to consider that we wouldn’t have before. Taylor Heinicke is one of them. Heinicke has finished outside the top 18 quarterbacks in each of the last three weeks. However, he now has back-to-back games against a fading Giants defense and a Week 17 matchup against the Browns, a vastly underperforming defense. Heinicke is worth stashing mainly in case your own quarterback suffers an injury, and you’re left scrambling.
