Dynasty Trade Advice: Josh Allen, Jaylen Waddle, Breece Hall, Rhamondre Stevenson

Several factors go into building a consistently elite dynasty fantasy football team. One of those is identifying the top player on every NFL team. Another is knowing which players you should trade away before their fantasy value decreases. All of this boils down to your dynasty trade strategy.

Typically, the starting quarterback is the top dynasty asset on every NFL team in superflex leagues. However, they are rarely the top asset in 1QB leagues. To help you build the best dynasty fantasy football team possible, I will identify the top dynasty asset and sell candidates for every NFL team.

Today, I break down the AFC East teams. Here’s my dynasty trade advice for the AFC East, including the top dynasty asset on each team as well as a dynasty player to trade now.

Dynasty Trade Advice: AFC East

Josh Allen (QB – BUF)

Many might want to trade away Josh Allen after the Bills lost Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis this offseason. However, Buffalo made significant additions to their receiving core, adding Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel. Furthermore, Dalton Kincaid is expected to have a sophomore-year breakout season. More importantly, the superstar was the QB1, averaging 25 fantasy points per game once Joe Brady took over as offensive coordinator. Allen’s rushing abilities give him one of the safest fantasy floors. He remains in the mix as the first quarterback selected in dynasty drafts.

Jaylen Waddle (WR – MIA)

Jaylen Waddle is coming off a disappointing season. He was the WR34 in 2023, averaging 11.6 half-PPR fantasy points per game. However, the star receiver missed three games because of injuries and left multiple others early. Yet, Waddle averaged 7.4 targets per game last year, up from 6.9 in his first season playing alongside Tyreek Hill. More importantly, the former Alabama star recently signed a long-term contract with the team, making him the long-term No. 1 wide receiver in Mike McDaniel’s fantasy-friendly offense for the next several years.

Rhamondre Stevenson (RB – NE)

Unfortunately, Rhamondre Stevenson was a fantasy bust in 2023. Yet, he remains the top dynasty asset on the Patriots. The former Oklahoma star started to play like a top running back before the team shut him down for the year with a high ankle sprain in Week 13. He averaged 91 rushing yards and 17.3 half-PPR fantasy points per game over his final three healthy contests. While some are worried about the arrival of Antonio Gibson, Stevenson should have a bounce-back season in the final year of his rookie contract.

Breece Hall (RB – NYJ)

While he has played for arguably the worst offense in the NFL the past two years, Breece Hall has been outstanding for fantasy players. He was the RB6 as a rookie, averaging 15.1 half-PPR fantasy points per game before tearing his ACL. More importantly, the former Iowa State star was the RB2, averaging 17.3 fantasy points per game from Week 5 through the end of last season. Hall is in the mix to be the 1.01 pick in startup drafts after the Jets vastly improved their offensive line this offseason.
