Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash: Week 24 (2026)

Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash: Week 24 (2026)

We saw Jonah Tong, Michael Arroyo and Ty Johnson all receive their promotions after appearing on last week’s fantasy baseball prospects list. With only a few weeks remaining in the regular season, hopefully you are now competing in your fantasy playoffs and looking for a competitive edge.

At this stage, long-term upside is less important than immediate opportunity. Therefore, this week’s list features more prospects who could contribute in 2026 and fewer players to stash strictly for 2027. Playing time will be difficult to predict, but one productive start or a short power surge could decide a playoff matchup. It is time for any available help.

Fantasy Baseball In-Season Waiver Wire & Trade Advice

Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash

River Ryan (SP, RP – DET) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 66

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September/2027

He’s back.

River Ryan recently completed two innings at Triple-A, allowing two hits while striking out two and issuing zero walks. More importantly, he appears to be working his way toward helping his Major League club before the season ends.

Ryan was one of the main pieces acquired in the Tarik Skubal trade, despite not pitching in a game since June 17th. However, after his time away, he may not be ready to handle a traditional starter’s workload. A bullpen role seems like the most realistic path to his 2026 MLB debut.

That role would limit his fantasy ceiling, but Ryan could still provide strikeouts and potentially record a win or hold. Managers in deeper leagues should consider adding him before his role becomes clear.

Seaver King (SS – WSH) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 71

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September/2027 Debut

The wait continues, and unfortunately, so do Seaver King’s struggles. He went 5-for-27 over the past week with two doubles, zero home runs, 10 strikeouts and only one walk.

The talent remains, but the recent production has not supported a promotion. Still, the Nationals could use the final weeks to evaluate a young player against Major League pitching. King’s versatility and offensive upside keep him on the fantasy radar despite the disappointing results.

King should only be considered in deeper formats right now. Nevertheless, a promotion could make him an inexpensive addition for a fantasy team desperate for hitting help.

Owen Murphy (SP, RP – ATL) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: Unranked

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September

Owen Murphy has completed at least six innings in each of his last two starts. Across those outings, he allowed only one earned run and recorded eight strikeouts.

The Braves could use him to give one of their starters additional rest, although a bullpen assignment is also possible. Murphy has already made a couple of MLB appearances this season without much success, but he remains a solid pitching prospect.

Because he has already reached the Majors, Murphy’s path back may be shorter than those of other pitchers on this list. Murphy is a reasonable speculative stash for managers who need innings, strikeouts or a potential spot start.

Franklin Arias (SS – BOS) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 3

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September/2027

Franklin Arias continues to make an excellent case for a late-season promotion. He went 10-for-20 over the past week with three extra-base hits, one stolen base, one walk and only one strikeout.

Arias would not need to hit for tremendous power to help because his ability to reach base could create opportunities for runs and stolen bases.

There is no guarantee that Arias receives the call. However, if promoted, Arias could become one of the most useful fantasy hitters over the final two weeks. He is among the best offensive stashes on this list.

Bo Davidson (OF – SFG) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: Unranked

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September/2027

Bo Davidson is on fire. He went 10-for-22 during the past week, collecting three extra-base hits and two home runs.

If he maintains this pace, the Giants may decide to reward Davidson with a brief opportunity in the Majors. His recent power production makes him particularly interesting for managers chasing home runs, RBI or total bases.

Davidson’s immediate role remains uncertain, so he is still a speculative addition. Even so, hot hitters sometimes carry that momentum into the Majors. In deeper formats, now may be the time to stash him before a possible promotion creates more competition.

Ralphy Velazquez (1B, OF – CLE) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 32

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September/2027

The excitement around Ralphy Velazquez has cooled slightly. He has only one hit over his last five games, although that hit left the ballpark. He also recorded six strikeouts and four walks during that stretch.

The walks are encouraging because they show that Velazquez can still reach base while struggling. However, the strikeouts demonstrate the risk that would come with relying on him during the fantasy playoffs.

Cleveland could still decide that it needs another bat. If promoted, Velazquez could provide low-cost power while qualifying at first base or a corner outfield position. He is a high-risk stash, but the potential reward remains attractive in deeper leagues.

James Tibbs III (OF – LAD) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 89

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September

James Tibbs III went 6-for-23 over the past week with two extra-base hits, including one home run. Additionally, he drew six walks, giving him a strong on-base profile despite the modest batting average.

The Dodgers could finally decide to give Tibbs an opportunity before the season ends. Based on the way he has hit this year, he is capable of producing a short but valuable offensive burst.

That type of streak could be enough to swing a close playoff matchup. Tibbs is worth monitoring closely and could be added now in leagues where managers have enough roster flexibility to wait for a promotion.

Jackson Wolf (SP, RP – DET) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: Unranked

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September

Jackson Wolf arrived in Detroit through the Casey Mize trade and is now displaying major strikeout upside. In his most recent start, he threw six no-hit innings with eight strikeouts. The start before that, he completed five innings and struck out 11.

Unlike River Ryan, Wolf appears more likely to work as a starter if Detroit promotes him. That distinction gives him a higher immediate ceiling because he could contribute meaningful innings, strikeouts and possibly a win.

Detroit may use the closing weeks to evaluate him against Major League competition. If you need strikeouts, Wolf might be the best speculative pitching option currently available.

Zyhir Hope (OF – DET) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: 28

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: 2027

Zyhir Hope remains at Double-A, making a promotion unlikely. Still, his recent performance deserves attention. In his last four games, he went 6-for-16 with a home run and a triple while striking out only two times.

With Detroit seven games behind the final Wild Card position, the team could consider an aggressive promotion in search of an offensive spark. That remains a long shot, but Hope possesses the kind of power that can make an immediate impression.

Hope is better suited for dynasty leagues or very deep redraft formats. However, his upside earns him a place on the watch list.

Bryce Mayer (SP, RP – Hou) | Top 100 Prospect Ranking: Unranked

  • Current Level: Triple-A
  • ETA: September

Bryce Mayer has made five Triple-A appearances, producing a 4.44 ERA with 26 strikeouts over 24.1 innings. Before his promotion, he recorded a 2.61 ERA and 100 strikeouts across 69 Double-A innings.

Although Mayer’s Triple-A ERA is not overwhelming, the strikeout production has followed him to the higher level. Houston could use another arm during the final stretch as it attempts to hold onto its division lead.

Mayer is undoubtedly a speculative addition. Still, fantasy managers searching for strikeouts should watch him closely. One late promotion and a favorable matchup could make him a valuable playoff streamer.
