Another week has come and gone, and it is time to look ahead at upcoming fantasy baseball matchups. I’m here every week to provide suggestions on fantasy baseball streaming pitchers you should use to win your matchups.
I will be using FantasyPros’ streaming pitchers rankings to help determine my picks. Feel free to sync your league and take a look at your own to find high-potential starters available on your waiver wire.

Week 24 Fantasy Baseball Streaming Pitchers
Please keep in mind that starters can get off schedule, and some projected starters may be pushed back due to factors such as injury or weather.
Let’s take a look at the best streaming options for the week ahead.
Monday, September 14
Jonah Tong (SP – NYM) vs. BAL | 5% Rostered
Jonah Tong should be a solid streamer to start the week, but he carries some risk given his limited sample size.
The 23-year-old righty looked decent in his start against the Marlins, where he allowed four runs across five innings while striking out seven. However, that start was his first appearance in the Majors since June, and he has an ERA of 4.80 in 15 innings this year.
Tong has great strikeout potential. He has the fortune of facing the Orioles, who have the third-most strikeouts across baseball and have lost seven of their last 10. Although Tong carries some uncertainty, he is an excellent strikeout option against the Orioles.
Alternative: Reynaldo Lopez (SP – ATL) @ CHC | 5% Rostered
Tuesday, September 15
Griffin Jax (SP – TB) vs. ATH | 37% Rostered
Chances are, Griffin Jax is not available in your league. Regardless, anything can happen, and Jax is most definitely worth streaming.
Jax has returned to health after being sidelined for a month due to elbow discomfort. The breakout starter struggled in his return against the Mets, but returned to form last week, allowing only one run against the Braves across five innings. The 31-year-old righty is a steady and high-upside option against the Athletics, if he is available.
Alternative: Martin Perez (SP – ATL) @ CHC | 10% Rostered
Wednesday, September 16
Jake Bennett (SP – BOS) @ TEX | 26% Rostered
Jake Bennett has had a breakout rookie season. The 25-year-old lefty has an ERA of 3.69 (3.51 xERA) across 105 innings, with 82 strikeouts. Bennett is showing the Majors that he has what it takes to stick around.
The Rangers are a middle-of-the-pack offense with a team OPS of .717. They are currently 74-76. Bennett has shown that he has what it takes to dismantle teams of this caliber. The rookie recently struggled against the Angels, allowing six runs in 5.1 innings, so look for him to bounce back this week.
Alternative: Keider Montero (SP – DET) @ TOR | 13% Rostered
Thursday, September 17
Dustin May (SP – MIL) @ PIT | 14% Rostered
Dustin May has been showing flashes of his former self this season. Most recently, the veteran struck out six Reds across six shutout innings, reminding the league of his potential.
The 29-year-old righty is showing signs of coming into his own after being traded to the Brewers, and now he gets to face the Pirates, who have struck out the fourth-most in baseball.
Alternative: Kumar Rocker (SP – TEX) vs. BOS | 4% Rostered
Friday, September 18
Andrew Alvarez (SP – WSH) @ STL | 5% Rostered
Andrew Alvarez is a young pitcher who has been on a tear. He has allowed only three runs across his last three starts (17.1 innings), striking out 19 batters.
The 27-year-old lefty has found tremendous success this season out of seemingly nowhere, earning an ERA of 3.35 across 102 innings. Alvarez against the Cardinals, who have the fifth-worst OPS in baseball, is my favorite streamer of the week.
Alternative: Zac Thornton (SP – NYM) vs. PHI | 5% Rostered
Saturday, September 19
Andrew Painter (SP – PHI) @ NYM | 17% Rostered
Andrew Painter is a solid option for a weekend without great streaming options. Painter gets to face the 69-80 Mets, whose team OPS of .704 is the sixth-worst in baseball.
Painter had a great hot stretch throughout August, but has cooled down since September began. The 23-year-old righty has shown he has the potential to be good, and what better team to test that than against the Mets?
Alternative: Tomoyuki Sugano (SP – COL) vs. SEA | 3% Rostered
Sunday, September 20
Kade Anderson (SP – SEA) @ LAA | 26% Rostered
Kade Anderson may finally be adjusting to the Majors. The highly touted rookie utterly dominated the minor leagues this season but did not find immediate success in the Majors.
In his first three starts, Anderson allowed nine runs across 15 innings, striking out 11 batters. In his most recent outing? Anderson allowed only one run in six innings, striking out five Rangers. The top prospect is trending upwards. Grab the 22-year-old lefty if you can.
Alternative: Grant Holmes (SP – ATL) @HOU | 19% Rostered
