Each week during the fantasy baseball season, I take a look at two-start pitchers for the week ahead. This week, we’ll focus on pitchers tentatively lined up to make multiple starts for the week of September 14-September 20. We’re getting close to the end of the season, so it’s important to remember that rotations change almost daily and no two-start pitcher is guaranteed this far in advance.

Two-Start Pitcher Notes
- The Dodgers are lined up for seven games, which could give Tarik Skubal and Blake Snell two starts in the penultimate week of the regular season. However, with their sights set on the playoffs, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they worked in a bullpen game or two. Skubal and Snell both figure to be a big part of the Dodgers’ three-peat run, and they will want them to be at their best. Together with Yoshinobu Yamamoto (last year’s World Series MVP) and Tyler Glasnow, they have one of the scariest rotations in baseball history.
- Kade Anderson has not been as advertised through his first three Major League starts. He’s covered 15 innings in those starts, while allowing nine earned runs, including three homers. He’s walked seven batters compared to 11 strikeouts, and his 6.3% strikeout-minus-walk rate is a far cry from the 36.6% he posted in Double-A this year. He gets the Angels and Rockies on the road in his two-start week and should probably be benched for those matchups. Anderson will be an interesting pitcher to rank next spring in fantasy drafts.
- It’s been a struggle for Jose Soriano for quite a while now. Since joining the Blue Jays, he has a 4.36 ERA and 1.45 WHIP with a 6.5 K/9 and 3.5 BB/9. When he was at his best in April, he was still walking three batters per nine innings, but he had a 10.3 K/9. His groundball rate is still in the upper echelon, but it’s dropped nearly 14% from last year to around 52%. He’s not a bad streaming option, but his roster rate is being held up by his amazing first month.
