Began writing fantasy for The Free Press in Kinston, N.C., in 2001. I created a half-page package that ran year-round in The Free Press and four other sister papers. I landed at the NY Post in 2005. It took two years to convince the sports editor to introduce a fantasy football column, which I wrote. It began as a 10-inch small piece once a week during the season (this would fill one column on a six-column page). Now I get 1.5 pages a week leading up to the season and 2 pages once the season starts. I also was able to successfully lobby for additional space for our fantasy baseball content.
