Notes
Murphy's overall stat line wasn't all that impressive last year, but once he was healthy in the second half, he returned to hittin .315 with a 25 HR pace. Move that to Coors Field and we may be looking at the NL Batting Champion with plenty of homers, RBI and runs. Be mindful that he rarely plays a full season, but when he is on the field we are looking at a top 30 fantasy asset
Bobby Sylvester - FantasyPros
Ozuna's massive 2017 season seemed destined to go down as an outlier, and that's exactly what happened as he experienced a major drop-off in every offensive category last season. A shoulder injury reportedly impacted his performance last year, but the fact remains that Ozuna now has three full seasons where he has hit exactly 23 home runs with a batting average between .265 and .280 and 75-90 RBIs. That's the player we should expect in 2019, not the one that went .312-37-124 in 2017.
Andrew Seifter - FantasyPros
Murphy took a long time to return from microfracture knee surgery in 2018, but it was worth the wait for his fantasy owners, as he produced a .299/40/12/42/3 line over 328 at-bats from June on. He's always been a good hitter, but has blossomed into a truly potent fantasy asset over the last three seasons, demonstrating the ability to knock 25 home runs with a batting average well north of .300. And that was before he played his home games at Coors Field, where he owns a .330 lifetime batting average. Murphy may be discounted in drafts on account of his increasing age, but it would not be shocking if he finished as a top-20 overall hitter in his first season in Colorado.
Andrew Seifter - FantasyPros
All reasonable onlookers expected regression from Ozuna's .312, 37-homer outburst in 2017, but they still wanted better than .280 and 23 long balls. Let's see if he can find some middle ground this season. Playing through a nagging shoulder injury, which he addressed with an offseason surgery, he slashed his strikeouts and maintained similar levels of exit velocity and hard hits. He once again hit too many ground balls (47.1%), but he couldn't overcome it this time. The 28-year-old doesn't even need a major bounce-back to deliver value, as he could post a monster RBI tally batting behind Matt Carpenter and Paul Goldschmidt in St. Louis.
Andrew Gould - FantasyPros
Murphy's draft stock hasn't soared nearly enough for a career .299/.344/.458 hitter moving to Coors Field. One of baseball's top sluggers in 2016 and 2017, his 2018 returns were contaminated by a brutal return from offseason knee injury. From July 1 onward, removing 15 games from his 91-game season, he batted .317/.355/.493 with 12 homers. Steamer's projected .307 average and 22 homers seem more than reasonable with the Rockies, and he's capable of bringing home another batting title.
Andrew Gould - FantasyPros
Ozuna may have taken a huge step back last year, but even so, he put up 23 homers, 88 RBIs and a .280 batting average while playing with a significant shoulder injury. We don't know yet whether or not he will be ready to go on opening day, but assuming health, we might be closer to the 37 HR, 124 RBIs, and .312 BA we got from Ozuna in 2017.
