Evan Longoria started the season ice-cold, but he's increased his average by 67 points this week while adding three home runs. Longoria now is hitting the ball with authority. His average is still only .243 but it is sharply moving up.

Edwin Encarnacion went 1-for-4 Monday, but that hit was an inside-the-park homer. He launched a line drive down the left field line, which Justin Upton slightly misplayed. It careened off the wall, and Encarnacion turned on the "jets" to make it home safely. The Indians won 6-0.

Notes
While EE may be old, he's still got it. He has now swatted 34 or more homers with 98+ RBI in six consecutive seasons. He plays nearly every day and won't kill you in batting average either. That type of consistency makes him a safe pick despite his age getting up there.
Bobby Sylvester - FantasyPros
Longoria was fantastic in 2016, so his 2017 season may have seemed like a major disappointment. The fact is, however, that it was very much in line with what he did in both 2014 and 2015, so don't be banking on a bounce-back.
Bobby Sylvester - FantasyPros
Encarnacion got off to a very rough start with the Indians, but in the end, he wound up with his standard stat line. He hit at least 34 home runs and tallied 98 RBI for the sixth consecutive season, his strikeout rate remained constant, and he actually set a career-high in walk rate (15.5%). In the end, there's little to suggest a decline is imminent, even as Encarnacion enters his age-35 season. With enough appearances at first base to retain eligibility at the position, Encarnacion can and should once again be valued as a strong fantasy option.
