Notes
Eugenio Suarez has often been one of the most overlooked players in fantasy, but now, it seems like there's risk with the profile. Not only is he coming back from a shoulder injury, but you're banking on a pace of 45-plus home runs again to provide the value you need. He's essentially empty power, as he doesn't hit for a good average, nor will he still bases for you. The position is deep enough that you can move past Suarez and his red flags.
Michael Waterloo - FantasyPros
With the three positions he plays, it's worth wondering why Max Muncy isn't going even earlier? Sure, he's a late-career breakout, but he repeated his 2018 success in 2019, and the Dodgers are going to have him locked into their everyday lineup. In OBP leagues, he's more valuable, as his average leaves much to be desired, but even if he repeats his 2018 and 2019 numbers again in 2020, he's worth the cost.
Michael Waterloo - FantasyPros
Few hitters benefited as much from the postponement of the season as did Suarez, whose shoulder woes made his availability for Opening Day questionable. He'll now likely be at or close to full strength when the season begins. Whether he can repeat his near-50 homer performance is another question (he likely can't), but you should draft him as you would few to no health concerns.
Dan Harris - FantasyPros
Muncy now has 70 homers over the last two seasons and while fantasy owners know he won't be a source of help in the batting average department, he still managed 100+ runs because of the 90 walks. Multi-position eligibility certainly doesn't hurt either.
Bobby Sylvester - FantasyPros
This is your reminder that Suarez hit 49 home runs last season. He, of course, ended up with 100+ RBIs for the second straight season too, and his batting average won't even kill you. The fact that you can get him a round or two after Kris Bryant is absolute gold.
