Eugenio Suarez has often been one of the most overlooked players in fantasy, but now, it seems like there's risk with the profile. Not only is he coming back from a shoulder injury, but you're banking on a pace of 45-plus home runs again to provide the value you need. He's essentially empty power, as he doesn't hit for a good average, nor will he still bases for you. The position is deep enough that you can move past Suarez and his red flags.
Michael Waterloo - FantasyPros
Mike Moustakas is the poster child for betting on yourself, as he's done so in back-to-back seasons. Now he's in Cincinnati, which we know is a great hitter's venue, so he won't experience any drop-off from leaving Milwaukee. What's more, Moustakas is playing second base, which makes him even more valuable than if he only had third base eligibility like in years past. The power is real, and so is this value for Moose in drafts.
Michael Waterloo - FantasyPros
Few hitters benefited as much from the postponement of the season as did Suarez, whose shoulder woes made his availability for Opening Day questionable. He'll now likely be at or close to full strength when the season begins. Whether he can repeat his near-50 homer performance is another question (he likely can't), but you should draft him as you would few to no health concerns.
Dan Harris - FantasyPros
Moustakas is a virtual lock to hit 30+ homers with 80+ RBIs but he doesn't steal any bags and with the power will likely come a sub-optimal batting average. You could do worse in the 9th round, however, because at the very least, he is a reliable three-category contributor.
Bobby Sylvester - FantasyPros
This is your reminder that Suarez hit 49 home runs last season. He, of course, ended up with 100+ RBIs for the second straight season too, and his batting average won't even kill you. The fact that you can get him a round or two after Kris Bryant is absolute gold.
Bobby Sylvester - FantasyPros
Consistent 30 home run seasons eligible at 2B and 3B in an upgraded CIncy lineup. The Moose is loose and I am owning many many shares.
Chris Mitchell - FantasyData
Perennially underrated. In a great hitters park he should reach 30+ homers again.
Michael Petropoulos - BRoto Fantasy
