Notes
Tucker finally got regular playing time last year and it was mostly what fantasy owners had hoped for. Tucker didn't quite put up his gaudy numbers that he averaged in the minors, but he was on roughly a 25-20 pace while helping out in the other statistical categories. Tucker's batted ball profile didn't completely wow anyone last year, but given his performance, his prospect pedigree and minor-league track record, and his guaranteed spot in a strong lineup, fantasy managers should feel little concern about having Tucker be their first outfielder in fantasy.
Dan Harris - FantasyPros
LeMahieu will return to the Yankees on a six-year deal, and that is great news for fantasy managers. Since he's been New York, he's provided elite all-around production, most notably in batting average, where he has batted .336. He's blossomed into a 25-home run hitter with plenty of runs and RBI, and a handful of steals that chip in with the category. Add to that LeMahieu's multi-position eligibility and he is a huge asset to every fantasy team. With nothing in his profile to suggest a skills decline, he should be drafted before the third round is out in every fantasy league.
Dan Harris - FantasyPros
Many expected Tucker to take off like a rocket once Yordan Alvarez wasn't ready to start the season on time, but it didn't happen right away. Perhaps he was still adjusting to big league pitching. Either way, over his final 140 plate appearances Tucker hit .317/.386/.619 to go along with seven homers and five stolen bases. Set to enter his age-24 campaign, Tucker has the power/speed combination fantasy players dream of.
Brendan Tuma - FantasyPros
One of my biggest fades this season. DJL is great, but is more of a real life player than he is a fantasy player. Not reaching for him at his ceiling.
Michael Petropoulos - BRoto Fantasy
Over the past two season "DJL" has posted a 183 wRC+ while playing at home compared to a 112 figure on the road. Of course, it's always helpful to be hitting in Yankee Stadium. This makes the fact that he re-signed with the Yankees an important one. LeMahieu is going to keep playing half of his games inside Yankee Stadium. The first modern player to win batting titles in both leagues, LeMahieu's presence on the Yankees means that he's the No. 1 fantasy second baseman for this fantasy writer.
