Miguel Andujar was the subject of a segment on Fantasy Sports Radio where manager Aaron Boone said, "[Andujar] will start playing catch on Wednesday." The Yankee manager continued by alluding 'Wednesday will help determine if Andujar will be able to play through the tear or have surgery.' Surgery would almost guarantee that Andujar would miss the rest of the season.

Notes
Gallo has reached 40 HRs in each of his two full Major League seasons, and will enter 2019 as one of the best pure power hitters in the game. Unfortunately, that power comes attached to a .203 career batting average, meaning that fantasy owners who draft Gallo in standard 5x5 formats will need to either punt batting average or make a concerted effort to offset the damage he'll do there. Whether you draft Gallo or not is largely a matter of roster construction, but expect him to finish right around the top-100 players in terms of overall fantasy value. He does walk quite a bit, giving him a major boost in OBP formats.
Andrew Seifter - FantasyPros
Andujar flew under the radar until his major breakout last season. We've seen players like that face major challenges in their sophomore campaign so beware of the risk associated with picking him, but as we've seen, the upside is tantalizing and may prove well worth a mid-round pick.
Bobby Sylvester - FantasyPros
You may not love the idea of destroying your team's batting average with his .210 line, but you'll be hard-pressed to find 40 homers, and perhaps even 50 from anyone 50 picks early, let alone around the 9th round of drafts. If you combine him with Daniel Murphy in the 5th, you've got two players who combine for a .260 average with 65-70 homers. When you look at it that way, Gallo's value jumps off the page.
Bobby Sylvester - FantasyPros
Andujar's rookie season went as well as even the most optimistic Yankees fan could have hoped. His .297/83/27/92/2 line was good enough to make him the seventh-most valuable third baseman in standard 5x5 leagues. The 27 home runs feels like a high water mark, at least for this stage of his career, and the batting average in particular is probably due for a bit of a correction, although he can still be above average there thanks to some pretty good contact skills. Fantasy owners should expect last season's production as a best case scenario for Andujar, and be satisfied if he approaches a .280 average and 25 HRs, as most of the projection systems expect.
Andrew Seifter - FantasyPros
Barring a ton of good fortune, drafters should no longer draft Gallo hoping for a spike to even a .230 batting average. With MLB's worst contact rate last season (61.7%), it's no guarantee the career .203 hitter clears the Mendoza Line. He also, however, joined J.D. Martinez and Khris Davis as the only sluggers to belt 40 homers in each of the last two years. It will take a precise roster to tolerate the average liability in applicable leagues, but he's a much better investment in OBP, OPS and/or points leagues.
Andrew Gould - FantasyPros
Right out of the gate, Andujar provided a rare blend of elite contact (.297 BA) and power (27 HRs) for the Yankees. A 4.1% walk rate is far from ideal, and atrocious defense at third base limits his real-life value. Neither flaw hurt his five-by-five worth last season, but beware paying the Yankee Tax on a youngster who may have peaked early. Statcast's .319 xwOBA hints at some potential sophomore regression.
