Walker Buehler did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Giants, allowing two runs on one hit and four walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Nationals starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg allowed five earned runs in his season debut on Sunday and later admitted in a Zoom call that his hand is still not feeling 100%. From Byron Kerr's story on MASNSports.com, Strasburg says, “To be honest, I felt it. I don’t know if it was necessarily like fatigue or just not having necessarily the stamina built up quite yet. But it’s something where I don’t think I’m doing any long-term harm on it. But it does have an impact on being able to throw the baseball and being able to commit to pitches. That’s something I haven’t quite figured out how to pitch through it yet, so I think the goal is to continue to get built up and get the pitch count up to where that won’t be flaring up over the course of the start.”

Notes
The more I look and ponder the more I see a potential Cy Young in 2020. Great team, pitcher park, Betts and Bellinger potentially manning two OF spots on defense. If LAD finally gets that title Buehler will be the guy we look at to explain that last step.
Chris Mitchell - FantasyData
I can't fully trust Strasburg to stay healthy and the Nat's have babied his inning totals his entire career. The ability is elite, the production and my ranking is slightly dinged by his lack of durability.
Chris Mitchell - FantasyData
Where you take Buehler is all about your approach to pitching in a shortened season. There's a case to take him in the first round, as he has the pure stuff to be the No. 1 pitcher by season's end with his 29 percent strikeout rate and five percent walk rate in 2019.
Michael Waterloo - FantasyPros
Strasburg is coming off of a year where he threw 209 regular season innings on top of 36 innings in the playoffs, so he has the workload carryover concern for 2020. In 2014, Strasburg threw 215 innings, and he followed it up with 127 in the next season, so the shortened season should help him out this year. Add to the workload and injury concerns that his 2019 velocity and movement most resembled that of Pablo Lopez, Jake Arrieta, Jorge Lopez, and Tyler Mahle. Strasburg is a top-12 pitcher still, yes, but you should look to pair another higher-end SP with him as insurance.
Michael Waterloo - FantasyPros
A 5.22 ERA in April scared fantasy owners, but Buehler quickly recovered from the Dodgers' ill-planned "ease into the year" plan. He looked precisely like the pitcher his fantasy owners had hoped for after that, ending the year with a 3.26 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with a 29.2% strikeout rate. His meager five percent walk rate was one of the best in the league, and with an incredibly strong offense behind him once again, Buehler should excel in all four of the starting pitching categories in 2020. Have no concerns.
Dan Harris - FantasyPros
Strasburg reached the 200-inning plateau for the second time in his career, and set a career high in wins with 18. Other than staying completely healthy, however, his numbers looked pretty much as they always have - just below the truly elite pitchers, but worthy of coming from your ace. Don't be sucked in by his magical postseason (1.98 ERA, 0.94 WHIP). Draft Strasburg as a top-10 pitcher, but expect his usual low-3.00 ERA and solid all around numbers.

 Walker Buehler's last 27 games included a 2.91 ERA and 206 strikeouts in 170 1/3 innings
