Albert Pujols questionable for Opening Day

While Albert Pujols' rehab is on schedule, Angels' GM Billy Eppler was not prepared to say that Pujols is ready for Opening Day. Pujols had foot surgery in December and the 37-year-old DH is looking to be healthy for 2017. He had a .780 OPS in 2016. (Bill Shaikin on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
There was a key statement made in the news section; Pujols is the DH for the Angels, as CJ Cron and the newly-acquired Luis Valbuena will be manning first base in Los Angeles this season. While not worrying about playing the field, Pujols can continue to mash the ball, as he has 71 home runs over the last two seasons. While 71 home runs over the last two seasons looks good, his injury history is poor over his Angels' tenure and a serious foot injury for an aging slugger could sap his power. There is no reason to take Pujols off of your draft board, but move him down a round or two.
