Fernando Rodney has visa issues and will be late to Spring Training

Fernando Rodney, who signed with the Diamondbacks this offseason, will be late to Spring Training because of visa issues. Rodney will be 40-year-old this season, but his 0.31 ERA and 17 saves in 28 games with the Padres last season shows that there is still something left in the tank. He finished the season with a 3.44 ERA in 67 games last season between the Padres and Marlins. (Nick Piecoro on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

As good as Rodney was with the Padres, he was even worse with the Marlins, posting a 5.89 ERA and 1.80 WHIP in 36 2/3 innings. Rodney has been good in spurts through his career, as he has twice saved 48 games and struck out 10.2 batters per nine in 2016, but his control has been an issue over his whole career. If you can get Rodney in the last two rounds, pick him up, as the Diamondbacks are a sleeper this season and could give him the opportunity for 35 or more saves.
