Zach Britton to miss intrasquad game

by Chris Zolli | Wed, Feb 22nd 7:34am EST

Zach Britton will be held out of the Orioles' second intrasquad game after suspicion of an oblique injury. There is no reason to believe that this is a serious impediment, but it is not worth pushing this early in Spring Training. Britton led the American League with 47 saves last season. Fantasy Impact:

After saving 120 games and posting a 1.38 ERA over the last three seasons, it is pretty safe to say that Britton is the top RP coming into the 2017 season. Britton is coming off of a 2016 season where he posted a 0.83 WHIP as well, finishing 4th in the AL Cy Young race. While most are putting Britton right at the top of their RP rankings, any injury worries could see him slip behind Aroldis Chapman or Craig Kimbrel.
