Carlos Santana willing to play outfield if required

1B/DH Carlos Santana started in left field for two games of the World Series when the DH was not an option in the NL park of Wrigley Field. Although he is open to more playing time in the outfield, Indians' manager Terry Francona has said that it is not in the plans. (Jordan Bastian on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Carlos Santana and Edwin Encarnacion are embedded in the 1B and DH positions but the Indians may welcome the occasional opportunity to play the rehabbing Michael Brantley at DH. The switch-hitting Santana had a bounceback season with career highs in home runs (34), runs (89) and RBI (87). He maintained his reputation of excellent plate discipline with 99 walks to 99 strikeouts, so he should be bumped up a round or two in points or OBP leagues.
