Mike Trout walks twice in first Cactus League game

CF Mike Trout went 0-for-0 with two walks on Monday vs. Padres in his first appearance of Spring Training.

Fantasy Impact:

There is no logical reason why Mike Trout will not be the first player off every draft board this year. He is acknowledged as the best player in the world and is still only 25-years-old. In his first five full seasons in the big leagues, the Angels' superstar has won the AL MVP twice and been runner-up on three occasions. In 2016, he was one home run shy of going 30-30 and set career-highs with 116 BB and .441 OBP. He improved his batting average by 28 points on his 2014 MVP winning season. Arguably, the only weakness in his game is his supporting cast. Despite this, Trout still recorded 100 RBI last season and scored 123 runs, 52 more than the Angels' third highest run scorer Albert Pujols. Add to this his intention to target 40 stolen bases in 2017 and you really want that number one pick in the draft this year.
