Aroldis Chapman strikes out two in Spring debut

by Chris Zolli | Pirates Correspondent | Thu, Mar 2nd 7:43pm EST

Aroldis Chapman pitched for the first time in Spring Training on Thursday, striking out two batters in a perfect 4th inning. Chapman touched 100 miles per hour on his fastball a few times and was able to work in his slider as well. He had a 1.55 ERA and 36 saves in his time with the Yankees and Cubs last season.

Fantasy Impact:

Chapman is the top closer in baseball, as he is a pretty safe bet for 115 or more strikeouts and 40 or more saves. There is opportunity for the Yankees to have two top-10 RP in their bullpen, as Dellin Betances is rated highly, but Betances' struggles at the end of 2016 as the closer show no fear in Chapman losing his job.
