Fantasy Impact:
Zimmermann is locked in as Detroit's third starter behind Justin Verlander and Michael Fulmer, so performances like this should be taken with a grain of salt. Still, this was a particularly uninspiring outing against a Toronto club that had benched the likes of Jose Bautista, Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, and Russel Martin. After struggling in his first season as a Tiger (4.87 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 5.64 K/9), it may be wise to let J-Zim be some other fantasy owner's headache in 2017.
