RP Yusmeiro Petit allowed just one hit over 3 2/3 innings with four strikeouts in the Cactus League victory over the Mariners on Wednesday.

Yusmeiro Petit remains in the competition for the fifth starter job, although he is likely to start the season as the swingman. Petit has only allowed one earned run in his four outings (seven innings). Tyler Skaggs and Jesse Chavez are the current favorites to secure the final two spots in the rotation.
