Andrew Cashner (biceps) goes two innings against minor league team

by Steve Painter | Wed, Mar 22nd 11:38pm EDT

Andrew Cashner, working his way back to the starting rotation after a biceps injury, pitched two innings Wednesday against one of the organization's minor league teams. He allowed no hits on 33 pitches. He is expected to join the rotation in mid-April, for his second turn. It has been reported that the team would just use four starters until then due to some accommodating days off. If that is the case, then the team would only need to temporarily replace Tyson Ross, until he is ready to return. (Jeff Wilson/Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Fantasy Impact:

This is great news for Cashner and the team, of course. It appears now that Texas only needs one starter to step up, and that would be to fill in for Tyson Ross. Regardless, Cashner's fantasy value is limited to those that carry 10 or so pitchers.
