Marcus Stroman takes no-hitter into 7th, wins WBC MVP

by Roy Widrig | Yankees Correspondent | Thu, Mar 23rd 9:58am EDT

Marcus Stroman was nearly unhittable in the World Baseball Classic final on Wednesday night, allowing just one hit to Angel Pagan over six innings, striking out three.

Fantasy Impact:

Stroman was lifted immediately following the Pagan single to lead off the 7th. It seems the Classic games supercharged him for the season, and he continually induced ground balls, which he'll need to be successful in 2017. He is primed for a big bounce-back season.
