Martin Perez tosses five scoreless against Padres Friday

Martin Perez, locked in as the No. 3 starter for the Rangers, tossed five scoreless innings against the Padres Friday. He allowed three hits and no runs while walking one and striking out six. Perez was sky-high today and anxious for the season to start. He said he just 'cleared his mind' and pitched. He should just rinse and repeat that one.
Fantasy Impact:
He's not likely on many fantasy radars at this point but he is a starter and that presents opportunities. He is worth keeping on your watch list for that reason. You never know when you might need him for a spot start.
