Luis Cessa sent to Triple-A

One of the members of the Yankees' battle for the fifth spot was removed from the battle, as Luis Cessa was sent to Triple-A on Friday. Cessa, Adam Warren, Chad Green, and Bryan Mitchell were in a battle for the fifth spot in the rotation and Cessa will be sent to Triple-A to continue as a starter. He had a 6.52 ERA this Spring. Fantasy Impact:

Cessa being sent to Triple-A is actually not an awful thing, as he will continue to work as a starter in the minors rather than be a reliever in the majors. He did not look good at the end of Spring Training, but will get a chance to start in Triple-A. Wait until the end of the season for Cessa, who could get some quality spot starts in the second half.
