Corey Seager leaves game early, insists oblique is fine

by Eric Westlund | Rangers Correspondent | Sat, Mar 25th 5:31pm EDT

Corey Seager was aiming to play seven innings on defense in a minor league game on Saturday, but he left after just four innings, citing normal baseball soreness in his legs. He reported no discomfort in the oblique that has slowed him this spring. (Andy McCullough on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The important headline is that Seager appears on track to begin the season with no lingering effects from his oblique soreness. He plans to play in a minor league game again Monday after taking Sunday off. It is clear from his leg soreness and the quality of his at-bats that his time off has left him rusty, but he should be good to go for Opening Day.
