Robert Gsellman rocked in start against Marlins on Thursday

by Nick Ritrivi | Nationals Correspondent | Fri, Apr 14th 10:21am EDT

Robert Gsellman allowed eight earned runs over just 4 2/3 innings in the Mets' 9-8 16 inning marathon win over the Marlins on Thursday night. Gsellman struck out five, but also walked three and allowed eight hits. Gsellman, fortunately, ended up with a no decision as the Mets tied the game after he departed.

Fantasy Impact:

After two starts, Gsellman holds an unimpressive 9.28 ERA with an 0-1 record, despite having struck out 13 over 10 2/3 innings. Gsellman will try to get back on track in his next start against the Phillies. Fantasy owners should exhibit patience with Gsellman, a consensus candidate for NL ROY coming into 2017, and not overreact to his bad start.
