Jose Bautista still finds support with Blue Jays management

Blue Jays President and CEO Mark Shapiro told Sportsnet, “Believe it or not, our analytics had Jose [Bautista] as the player with the largest upside on our team this year." Shapiro added, "at his age, 36, 37, they felt he was going to be a lot better than last year based on the history of his career.” (Sportsnet)
Fantasy Impact:
It's tough to tell if Shapiro still has high hopes for Bautista after his brutal start. Bautista's numbers took a nosedive in just about every statistical category last season, and things have only gotten worse to begin his age-36 season. It's far too early to jump ship completely, but Bautista probably belongs on your bench for now.
