The Blue Jays could pursue a firesale if their early-season struggles continue, but CBS Sports' Matt Snyder points out that Russell Martin "might be unmovable" due to his bloated contract. (CBS Sports)
Fantasy Impact:
Staying in Toronto might not be the worst thing for Martin's fantasy value, as the Rogers Centre has typically been one of the better offensive ballparks in baseball. However, he could find himself hitting in a significantly weaker lineup this summer if the Blue Jays trade away sluggers like Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, and Jose Bautista. Regardless, Martin needs to cut down on the strikeouts and start to find his power stroke if he's going to be a useable fantasy catcher.
