Yoenis Cespedes leaves game with hamstring injury; MRI on tap

by Dan Harris | Mets Correspondent | Fri, Apr 21st 9:33am EDT

Yoenis Cespedes departed Thursday's game against the Phillies with a left hamstring injury. He will likely miss at least two or three games, and is having an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. (New York Post)

Fantasy Impact:

Cespedes said he felt a "shock" in his hamstring, which is certainly an ominous quote. But he also noted that he has missed time at various points in his career with hamstring injuries, often only a few days, and that this injury felt less severe. To the extent you can get him out of your lineup immediately, do so, as he is likely to miss the entire weekend series with the Nationals. More information on the injury should come to light today.
