Clayton Richard pitched 6 and 2/3 innings, allowed nine hits, one earned run, and struck out eight batters during the Padres 4-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Fantasy Impact:
Richard finished the game with a 1.35 ERA and WHIP. Allowing nine hits, Richard's teammates did an excellent job of mitigating scoring opportunities. Other than an RBI single allowed by Richard in the second inning it was a solid outing for the previously inconsistent pitcher.
