Carlos Martinez suffers third straight loss on Thursday

Carlos Martinez lost his third straight start on Thursday, as he gave up five runs over the course of five innings against the Brewers. His ERA now stands at 4.76 after four starts, while his WHIP is 1.50.

Fantasy Impact:

Carlos Martinez didn't walk eight batters this start like he did five games ago when he took the mound against the Yankees, but he did give up another two home runs. After a stellar opening game against the Chicago Cubs, Martinez has turned in three consecutive subpar performances. It is too early to hit the panic button the young ace, but control issues, an ERA near 5.00, and a 1.50 WHIP are not what you want to see to start the season.
