Miguel Sano has been suspended one game by Major League Baseball for his role in an altercation with the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. After pitcher Matt Boyd threw behind Sano, Sano shoved catcher James McCann in the chest. Sano is appealing the suspension and is starting at third base on Monday night for the Twins. (HardballTalk)
Fantasy Impact:
Miguel Sano's one game suspension is likely to stick, as he visibly made contact with James McCann's chest. However, it is only one game, and Sano may eventually drop his appeal when it comes time for a night off anyway. Keep an eye on his status, but expect to lose Sano for a game at some point.
