Aroldis Chapman earns save after bumpy ninth inning
by Chris Zolli | Pirates Correspondent | Thu, Apr 27th 6:50am EDT
Aroldis Chapman pitched the ninth inning of the Yankees' 3-1 win against the Red Sox on Wednesday, allowing one run on one hit and earning his fifth save of the season. Chapman walked two batters and struck out two as well, needing 33 pitches to get three outs. He allowed his first run in 7 1/3 innings this season on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Chapman had not pitched in four days and the location on his fastball was not crisp nor was he pumping the 100+ mph. The Yankees have only used Chapman three times in the last 10 days and has walked three batters in his last two appearances. Fantasy owners have to worry about Chapman's usage and if his rust will see his statistics drop off.
