Jose Abreu expects to play Friday

Jose Abreu exited Wednesday's game with hip and groin injuries but told reporters that he expects to play Friday after the team's day off on Thursday. (Bruce Levine on Twitter)

This is good news for owners, but Abreu should be monitored as this is something that could certainly aggravate. Abreu's power has dropped off in a big way this season, as he's still without a homer and only has five doubles on the year. That's led to a .253 average and a .629 OPS.
