Justin Verlander strikes out eight on Thursday

Justin Verlander tossed seven innings against the Mariners on Thursday, allowing one run (zero ER) on five hits and two walks. He struck out eight batters in a no decision.
Fantasy Impact:
Verlander issued both of his walks in the third inning but otherwise pitched very well, as the lone run he allowed was unearned and he only allowed one extra base hit. He again struggled with his pitch count, as it took him 119 pitches to finish seven innings, but he did manage to throw 79 of those for strikes. After a couple of rough outings, Verlander seems to be back on track and should be started with confidence on Tuesday against Cleveland.
