by Stan Son | Dodgers Correspondent | Sat, May 6th 11:31pm EDT

Clayton Kershaw allowed five hit (one home run), one earned run, walked four, and struck out nine in 7 1/3 innings Saturday night against the San Diego Padres. 75-of-118 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

The home run was given up in the eighth inning to pinch-hitter Ryan Schimpf, a lefty who is now 2-for-4 with two home runs in his career against Kershaw. He now has a 2.40 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 53 strikeouts in 48 2/3 innings. Kershaw has allowed seven home runs and seven walks, though. He allowed eight home runs and 11 walks all of last season. Kershaw is next scheduled to start in Colorado to face the Rockies, a team that ranks 6th in wOBA against LHP.
