Martin Prado likely headed to the disabled list

by Mike Maher | Sun, May 7th 5:14pm EDT

Marlins manager Don Mattingly expects Martin Prado (right hamstring) to go on the DL. Prado left Sunday's game against the Mets after apparently aggravating his right hamstring injury. (Tim Healey on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Prado has already missed time this season with a right hamstring injury, as he began the season on the disabled list while recovering from a right hamstring strain. It sounds as if he aggravated that injury on Sunday. While not an elite fantasy contributor by any means, Prado is a reliable source of batting average and hits, as he batted .305 with 183 hits last season. Keep an eye on this situation, but a stint on the 10-day DL sounds likely at this point.
