Cesar Hernandez has average dip below .300

by Brad Richter | Fri, May 19th 1:04pm EDT

Cesar Hernandez went 0-for-4 in Thursday's 8-4 loss to the Rangers while striking out once.

Fantasy Impact:

With his hitless performance on Thursday, Hernandez saw his season average drop below .300 for the first time since April 11th. After batting .323 with four home runs, 10 RBIs and 20 runs scored in April, Hernandez has cooled off considerably hitting just .262 with no home runs or RBIs in May. He may not be ready for the breakout season some were hoping for after his fast start. He is still worth owning in deeper mixed leagues but can be dropped or traded away in shallower leagues.
