Justin Verlander allowed three runs on four hits across seven innings in Detroit's 9-3 win over the Rangers on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
Verlander was solid in this one, scattering the four hits over seven full while punching out five and walking one. The sole free pass was nice to see given the veteran's season line is marred by his outrageously high walk rate with 26 over just 55 1/3 innings. Even then, he pitches ahead of one of the more potent lineups, receiving plenty of run support which has helped him to a 4-3 record so far. He gets a road date with the Astros on Thursday.
