Michael Pineda works into seventh inning

Michael Pineda allowed two runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings against the Royals on Monday. Pineda struck out six batters while walking one, the sixth time in nine starts where he has walked one or fewer while striking out six or more batters. He has a 3.35 ERA this season and will face the Athletics in New York on May 27.
Fantasy Impact:
This is the fourth consecutive quality start for Pineda and eighth straight start where he allowed three runs or less. He now has 61 strikeouts and nine walks in 52 2/3 innings this season. Current Athletics have a .690 OPS in 44 career at-bats against Pineda and he has a 2.18 ERA at home in 33 innings this season.
