Charlie Blackmon drives in three, steals fourth base Monday

by Mike Maher | Rockies Correspondent | Tue, May 23rd 7:55am EDT

Charlie Blackmon went 2-for-5 with three RBIs, two runs scored, and his fourth stolen base of the season as the Rockies demolished the Phillies 8-1 on Monday. Blackmon is now slashing .321 / .358 / .588 with 33 runs scored, 36 RBIs, nine home runs, and four stolen bases for the year.

Fantasy Impact:

The stolen base is encouraging for Blackmon owners, as steals is the only offensive category lacking for him right now. It doesn't look like he will be stealing 30 or 40 bases in a season anymore, but if he can contribute a dozen or so while continuing his current pace at the plate we could be looking at a top-five fantasy contributor at the end of the season.
