Jose Berrios

Jose Berrios has won three games in a row after latest start

by Kevin Black | Blue Jays Correspondent | Wed, May 24th 11:34pm EDT

Jose Berrios faced off against a quality Baltimore Orioles lineup and lasted 6 1/3 innings where he gave up three earned runs. Berrios struck out seven batters, walked two, and gave up four hits. Three of those hits happened to be home runs, all solo shots. After Chris Davis and Jonathan Schoop went yard in the seventh inning, Berrios was yanked in favor of the Minnesota bullpen.

Fantasy Impact:

Berrios has shown all of the pedigree allotted to him as a top prospect last year. Despite the difficult start to his major league career last year, Berrios has carried over his early 2017 success at Triple-A to the majors after his promotion early this month. Continue starting Berrios with confidence if you were smart enough to pick him up in season long leagues. There are likely to be bumps along the road, but Berrios has great stuff as evidenced by his 22 strikeouts over 22 2/3 innings pitched thus far.
