Ariel Miranda gets the win after five solid innings of work

by Kevin Black | Thu, May 25th 4:27pm EDT

Ariel Miranda tossed five innings of two run baseball for the Mariners on Thursday in their win over the Washington Nationals. Miranda allowed three hits, walked three, and struck out four. An Anthony Rendon home run and Jayson Werth RBI single were the sole pieces of damage done against Miranda in his short outing.

Fantasy Impact:

The 28 year old Miranda has actually been an intriguing streamer candidate this season. He plays his home games in one of the best pitcher parks, has a K/9 rate above 8.00, and has shown the capability of brilliance, which is something to look for in DFS options. He has now allowed four earned runs in his last 17 innings of work since an eight run blow up on May 9th. That one game has adversely impacted his season long stats in what may be one of the more intriguing deep league pitcher options as a streamer, and someone to get a little exposure of in DFS, for those willing to take on risk.
