Koda Glover earns first save since officially earning the job

by Kevin Black | Sat, May 27th 1:35am EDT

Koda Glover succeeded in his first outing as the official closer of the Washington Nationals, albeit in a brief appearance. Glover came on with two outs in the ninth and recorded the necessary out to earn his fourth save of the 2017 season.

Fantasy Impact:

Many believed Koda Glover was in line to earn the closer gig full time out of spring training. Glover has a 2.51 ERA and sub 2.00 FIP, along with a walk rate that is under 1.50 batters per nine innings. Glover's fantasy value skyrockets if he proves his mettle and runs with the job. Despite rumors of Washington looking to target the trade market for a closer, Glover may be able to provide impactful value until that becomes a reality.
