Alex Wood with fourth straight scoreless outing

by Dan Harris | Athletics Correspondent | Sat, May 27th 8:03am EDT

Alex Wood pitched five scoreless innings against the Cubs on Friday, giving up two hits and walking two while striking out eight. Wood has not allowed a run in any of his last four starts spanning 23 1/3 innings, and is now 6-0 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Once an afterthought in the Dodgers' crowded rotation, Wood is now one of the best options, as he now has a 1.69 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 60 Ks over just 48 innings. He's entirely matchup-proof at this point, dominating the Rockies in Colorado and the Cubs during his hot stretch. He will take on the Cardinals in St. Louis next week.
