Danny Salazar walks five on Saturday

by Matthew Adam | Sun, May 28th 6:34am EDT

Danny Salazar struggled with his command against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. He walked five batters in 5 1/3 innings of work, allowing three earned runs while striking out four. The Royals went on to beat Cleveland, 5-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Salazar took the loss, dropping him to 3-5 on the year. It has been a season marred by inconsistency from Salazar as he now has a 5.50 ERA, but an impressive 73 strikeouts. While his performance has left a lot to be desired, Salazar's elite strikeout rate has made him a solid fantasy option up until this point. With Corey Kluber slated to return from the DL this week, there's been talk of the Tribe moving Salazar to the bullpen. That would affect his fantasy value greatly. Stay tuned for updates.
