Mike Trout leaves game with sprained thumb; MRI on tap

by Dan Harris | Angels Correspondent | Sun, May 28th 8:15pm EDT

Mike Trout was removed from the Angels' game against the Marlins in the sixth inning on Sunday with a sprained left thumb. X-rays were negative, but Trout will undergo an MRI, according to the Orange County Register. (Orange County Register)

Fantasy Impact:

The Angels and fantasy owners will be holding their collective breath as they await the results of the MRI. Trout sustained the injury sliding into second on a stolen base attempt the inning before, and came up shaking his hand. For now, hope for the best, but it's likely that Trout will miss at least a day or two even in the best case scenario.
